    Hello! I closed on my NACA home back in November. At my closing the settlement officer had the wrong contract that was signed by the seller that said she would purchase any home warranty. So she reached out to the seller via her agent as seller was out of town and her agent was power of attorney that day and she said she would put the check in the mail. Fast forward a couple months go by and I realize I haven’t gotten one thing in the mail pertaining to a home warranty. So I reach out to the settlement agent. She claims to have emailed the seller and her agent they say it’s going to be sent and it has not been sent and no one is answering my calls. I talked to my realtor and he said that this same kind of issue has been happening with that settlement office. That check should have been handled that day. So my question is the seller signed the contract saying she will do it. What and who do I talk to to get this done? I want my warranty it is in our contract. Now ffwrd the garage door stopped working. If I had my warranty I wouldn’t be freaking out about how much that’s going to cost me. Please anyone HELP

    Sorry to see you are having such troubles. You are pursuing the right path however by contacting the settlement agent, especially since you can’t reach the seller. Persistence is probably going to be your best ally here. Reach out to yoru local office manager and ask him/her to contact the setllement agent on your behalf as well.

    Beyond that though, you may need to contact an attorney regarding possible Breach of Contract by the seller.
