ParticipantHello all,
Just wanted to share that we got our loan approved by citibank! Waiting on my committment letter via mail. Thank you Tim for following up every time. There seems to be some more conidtions in our webfile, so I’m really hoping to get some follow up from my MC by tomorrow so we can clear those conditions and not delay the closing. I have 3 young boys who are excited about the possibility of moving into their own room by Christmas!
Bottom line, NACA is such a great mortgage program..only wish getting through the process wasn’t like pulling teeth at times. As a NACA member when I refer others to the program I try to prepapre them for the roller coaster while still highlighting the priceless benefits!
My next forum post will hopefully be titled “Got My Keys!”.

MemberHello wenmac24,
Congratulations!
It appears you were sent an email late yesterday afternoon detailing what is needed from you, and there are a couple of things for your MC to take care of, but I’m also looking forward to that “Got My Keys!” post very soon!
(Don’t forget to reassure your boys that Santa is getting a change of address card from you!)

ParticipantWenmac24,
Congrats! When did you start the process with NACA and how long after your intake did it take to get to this step?
Thanks

ParticipantAdamnbrit,
Went to workshop Feb 26, 2012
1st intake appt 4/11
2nd appt 4/26
NACA Qualified on 8/6
Requalified on 9/5
Contract on house 9/18
Bank app on 10/5
Loan approved 11/6
Hoping to close by 11/16!!Everyone’s journey with NACA is a little different for varying reasons. We are self employed hence more paperwork, our first offer on a property wasn’t accepted, we had additional inspections on our purchase property because the hom e has a well and private septic (both require separate inspections), and so on. Just make sure you keep in contact with your MC, be polite and persistent even while being reasonably patient.

MemberHello wenmac24,
Thanks for sharing the information. Special thanks for saying “Just make sure you keep in contact with your MC, be polite and persistent even while being reasonably patient”, and proving that I’m not just trying to get everyone to “drink the kool-aid” when I say that. It really does work!
P.S. You know I want a picture when you get those keys!

ParticipantIt really does work Tim! You just don’t know how much of a blessing this is for our family. NACA has changed my DNA so to speak, because other than birthing my 3 boys, this has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done….and had not given up either! Now I know I’m a certified “fighter”, NACA is living proof that if you persevere you will get the prize. If that’s drinking the kool aid, then doggone it…gimme some more of that!
I hope my kids will even be able to own their first home through NACA.
