Welcome to the all-new NACA Forum! First, we want to express our apologies for how long the Forum has been out of service, and thank everyone who has sent e-mails, IM’s and so on asking when the forum will return. We know that many of you rely on the Forum as an important source of information and means of communicating with the NACA staff as you continue through the Home Save or Purchase process.
The simple fact is that when we performed some major system upgrades to the NACA computer network recently, it caused a series of completely unanticipated problems with the existing Forum. Long story short, we decided to make it a lemons-to-lemonade episode and create a whole new, improved Forum rather than struggle to recover the old system.
You will most likely find the new version considerably easier to use. To continue as a NACA Forum Member, you will need to re-register, and we strongly suggest that you continue to use your previous screen name. We are committed to continuing to provide the same quick, personal responses to your questions and concerns while helping educate and inform all Forum members at the same time.
Additionally, we are now planning on making use of the Forum as a source to share any breaking news or new developments that are relevant to you whether working with NACA to save the home you have worked so hard for, or to acquire your piece of the American Dream. Over the next few weeks, we will be adding some surprising new features to the Forum as well.
Don’t forget that the NACA Forum is one of several means through which you can contact and follow NACA through social media. You can join us on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/NACAOfficialPage or on Twitter at https://twitter.com/#!/NACAEvents.
The NACA Radio Program is another way to follow and become part of NACA’s efforts. The one-hour program airs each Wednesday at 1:00pm ET/10:00am PT on http://www.LATalkRadio.com, channel 2. Ethan Dettenmaier and I discuss NACA’s current actions and activities including the full American Dream Tour schedule. We also discuss important topics related to the mortgage crisis and how it affects those trying to save their home or finally become homeowners. A variety of guests from inside NACA plus other key figures in the mortgage industry and modification process also help unravel the complexities of the mortgage crisis. NACA Founder and CEO Bruce Marks’ weekly commentary rounds out the hour with news and inspiration from the man who started it all. If you are not able to tune in live, the program can be downloaded as a podcast either through the LA Talk Radio website or on iTunes.
Thanks again for being so patient while we created the new Forum. Combined with our other social media and outreach efforts, we are continuing to seek new and more efficient ways for you to communicate with NACA so that we can continue to make the dream of home ownership a reality.

I’m glad the forum is back! I really missed it.
Are there any plans to archive our old post?May 7, 2012 at 11:07 am #353
Unforunately, the problems we experienced with the old system were too great for us to recover any of the old posts. We’re starting over from scratch!

Wow! I have not visited the forums since last year but I had no idea they were down. Glad to know they are back. I’m still in the market to purchase a house through NACA.
Maybe this will be the year!May 9, 2012 at 12:46 pm #411firsttimebuyerParticipant
I’m glad to see the forum back as well. Even though I purchased my home in December, I still frequent the site.June 21, 2013 at 9:26 pm #8252prayingforahouseParticipant
Codya – With the exception of two times, I always volunteer on Fridays because that is the day I have available. I typically do 4 hours at a time and I started last fall. I do agree that Saturday workshops are a great way to get in hours as well.
As for it not moving your file any faster, it does help when the people in the office know who you are only because they can communicate easier with you in what you need to get to them and you can take it with you when you volunteer so they scan it in directly. Also, if you are volunteering and someone does not show up for their appointment while you are volunteering, you are readily available with your info to have an appointment to fill that no show spot.
