Just learned from my appointment today I was not signing my bank app but my bank app was being submitted for approval, it was not a good experience I had but I made it through. I still don’t see a section D for me to check the status of my UW but I will be emailing my MC, realtor and the person who submitted my bank app everyday until I get information if I don’t hear anything within 72 hours. I didn’t come this far to give up, I will be closing July 5th as my contract states.

My coming UN-STUCK Positive NACA Experience: I attended the NACA Save the Dream event in downtown Houston today and thoroughly enjoyed being there. The experience was positive and I was able to meet many others like me who are beginning or are in various stages of their Purchase process. The staff was well organized and the wait was manageable. I was able to talk to a counselor on the phone who worked with me to get everything in my file just as it needed to be and re-submitted it to NACA underwriting for final approval. She said things looked really good and we should know something in 3 days. In a 1 hour phone call she was able to do what none of my other counselors were able to do in more than a year and a half. It was also wonderful to hear the cheering when people in other areas of the convention center were able to have their homes saved. A delightful lady sitting next to me (was just beginning her purchase process) and was telling me the success story of how her sister’s home was saved just a few short months ago. Her sister’s experience had prompted her to come to NACA too. The whole experience was so positive and uplifting. I was helped to move forward toward home ownership and other families were able to keep their homes. I know many of us feel abandoned and ignored sometimes, believe me, I understand that better than almost anyone, but hang in there and if you can’t budge your process consider attending one of these events. I will keep posting as my process hopefully now will be moving through the system.

    Hello PackedAndReady,

Congratulations! It has been a long, hard fought battle for you to get this far (which it never should have been). You stuck with it and finally got the result you needed!

Thanks also for sharing the uplifting story about what you saw at the Americn Dream Event. Please continue to keep us updated on your progress.

My file was approved by UW yesterday. It was too late for me to leave work and make it in the NACA office to sign it, so I will sign it @7a on Monday. I had one condition an updated VOE because I got a raise in March. My HR manager faxed it back 5 min after she completed it. My Relator says next is the appraisal. My MC says I’m on schedule for my July 5th closing and she and my Relator apologized again for what happened in the office on Thursday with my mortgage originator, he told apologized. I am grateful but my prayer is that members are treated more kindly in this process.

Bank app signed at 7am today, apprasial ordered at 9:50am. I am praying there are no conditions left, I updated everything during credit access and wrote a explantion for the one thing they had question about and everything was approved prior to submitting the bank app. I am so excited and so worried at the same time. I have checked my web file 3 times already today and I can see section D. so I will keep you all updated, Pray for me and I will do the same for you.

Hang on, Channon, you are on the downhill slide now. Hopefully, I’m about to come right along behind you. My newest counselor is responding to the underwriters and ME! Looks like I may have a shot at getting through this process now. I’m happy for you and for all of us who are coming UNSTUCK in our NACA process. Go, Channon, Go!! You might want to start getting PackedAndReady too!

Channon and PackedandReady- This is the time in the process where you need to stay very diligent. Make sure to check your web-file hourly. (For me it was every 15 minutes) Everytime I saw movement or a new condition that popped up, I was writing a LOX and emailing it to my file and to my MC. This is the hard part of this journey, as things are not in your control, other people, other departments, etc are working through your file at different times.
Appraisal goes to bank for approval, Inspection goes to HAND for approval, then everything gets reviewed again by bank underwriting, then you answer any last minute conditions, then you hopefully get a clear to close, then you have to answer a bunch of questions from a lady that calls you from Boston-to make sure it’s you, then your title company has to get all of their info together, then it is reviewed all over again…
In the end it is worth it, I got my keys last Monday. But you have to stay on top of this process. Good Luck!

Thanks, Thomas. I welcome your words of wisdom. I have been so diligent that I scare myself sometimes. Always getting information back to the MC within 24 hrs or less, no matter what it is. Today I drove all over town to get very detailed info for the underwriter. Remember, we are self-employed so I know that we sometimes need to go the extra mile to get what is necessary. I check our file regularly during the day just as you and TTrumble have recommended. Thanks for keeping in touch and reminding us that there is a house at the end of this tunnel.

@Thomas54 and Packedandready, thank you both. I signed my bid contract with my contractor today and faxed it back to HAND. No new information in section D yet, it just shows LOW BOA bank number and the time and the appraisal was ordered. So still checking every hour through out the day. I am so Praying there are no new condtions my condtions prior to bank submission was enough for me but I am not giving up, I am counting down

I am new to the system (June 2012) and need to know how to lat NACA know when I updated my file. I have sent 4 updates with various requested documents but have not heard back. Is there a way to contact someone via email to let them know that I have complied? Thanks.

Thomas 54 what is a LOX and where did you emailed it?

@cbp999 LOX is letters of explantion and are faxed or emailed to your MC. Quick update I saw ino my web file today all my conditions “pending” so I am assuming they are intial conditions from the bank. They are things like verification of escrow, HAND bid, HOI, etc.. they look like all the things went over in my credit access I emailed my MC, mortage orginator, HAND and realtor to see if there was something I need to be doing but no one responded. Too close to panic and too close for the communiction to stop so I will look again in the morning and email everyone else again.
