Hello, I would be very grateful if someone could send me a Verification of Employment Form. That is the only thing holding up my file. I would like to send the VOE to the employer myself to speed up the process.
Thanks!October 22, 2012 at 11:31 am #3764TTrumbleMember
The VOE and VOR forms are not allowed to be touched by the member during any part of the process since it creates the potential for falsified information. The forum must go directly to the employer (VOE) or landlord (VOR) from NACA and must be directly returned to NACA. If the member comes into contact with the form in any manner, it is automatically voided.

Thanks for the quick response and clarification Tim. My MC said she would send the verification request in August. However, when I recently spoke to another MC at the American Dream event, she said that is the only thing holding up my file. I have no way of knowing the status of it., whether the request was sent, if my employer received it, etc. I was hoping there was a way I narrow down what is causing the delay and hopefully take action to resolve it.
Would two years of pay stubs be sufficient verification?

Sorry I just realized I posted this in the MAP section. This should have gone in a general section. I’m in the Home Purchase program.October 24, 2012 at 10:17 am #3825TTrumbleMember
In 98% of situations like yours, the employer has recieved the form but has it sitting at the bottom of a stack of paperwork, not realizing how important the document is.
You need to contact your employer’s HR/Payroll department to make an inquiry. Again, they most likely have it already, but will claim to not know what you are talking about, deny having received it or tell you how busy they are but will look for it when they get a chance.
At that point, you need to verify the contact person’s email address and fax number. Relay that information to your MC with a request to send the VOE again. Once it has been re-sent, you are basically going to have to be a pest with the contact person until they acknowledge and complete the form and send it back to your MC.
At no point in the process are you allowed to have posession of the form since that creates the possibility of falsified information.
I’ve had members who have had to literally stand over their HR department’s contact person and watch them receive, fill out and return the form as the only way to insure it got done. It’s altogether too common a problem.
The VOE is an absolute requirement and paystubs are not a satisfactory substitute. Please make the inquiry with your HR people so things can get moving forward for you again.
