I recently resubmitted for a higher monthly payment and only received $50 more. I have a rent payment of $1350, and wanted to be qualified for $1500. I have had a payment shock of $200 for three months. My gross income is $4843, and my totally monthly debt is $350, by my calculations, the $1501 shouldn’t have been a problem. My MC said my file was super clean and she was positive I would get it! I’m devastated and haven’t been able to stop crying or sleep since I found out.

    Here are my calculations:
    4843*.31= 1501
    4843*.40= 1937

So on either end I should’ve been good! @ttrumble, can you please help??

I’m desperate!!! I was told the underwriter said I needed to “save my payment shock better” which makes zero sense! To me, as long as it’s saved, I should be fine. The original underwriter said to resubmit and I would get it. The second underwriter said no. I don’t know why there’s a discrepancy.

Apply for requalification for the third time – Talk to your MC and give them what they want. Persistence and resilience. Best wishes to you!

I have the same issue. It’s been over a month for me and no word. No explanation or anything. My HMC appealed but he won’t respond to my emails. They give you no explanation about anything.
