Good afternoon group,
First, I have a great MC. He has been more than helpful and I don’t want to be selfish and steal more time away that he could use to assist other NACA members. That is why I have come to the forums.
I was sent for initial underwriting and qualification on 7/1. I confirmed this after his email by logging in and seeing the status bar which said “qualification – pending.” It is now 10 days later and I have not heard from my MC, nor has my status changed.
I know that I need to let the process work, however, I’ve researched this topic on the forums and have come across other members with similar stories in which the status was not updated and communication wasn’t sent to them that they needed to take certain actions. In fact, I did see that someone with NACA had even reached out and assisted another member in the past to help move their file along.
Is anyone else currently in underwriting and it taking this long for them as well? Is there anyway to determine when my file might be reviewed by underwriting?
I appreciate any insight or assistance I can get. This has been a long and stressful process, however, I know it will be worth it in the end. I have nothing but gratitude for NACA. I’m just hoping to alleviate some of my stress. My current renting situation is less than ideal with the AC barely functioning and now a leaking roof. Hoping that I am far enough along that instead of looking for a new place to rent, we can buy.
Thank you all.July 11, 2021 at 3:31 pm #75966ERO89Participant
My MC submitted my file for underwriting on 6/29 and my status changed to qualified on 7/8. Unfortunately, my status changed AFTER the purchase workshop started for that day but I’m focusing on the positive. Continue to connect with your MC via email and telephone. Persistence is key.July 12, 2021 at 11:15 pm #75982Keluaran HKParticipant

@NateD683 have you heard back in regards to your underwriting yet? If so when did you finally get a response? Curious to know as I’m facing a similar scenario.August 9, 2021 at 11:35 am #76253TheAverageRjParticipant
My wife and I graduated from college last year. We have both been working throughout college and have left our part time jobs to a full-time career. She will hit her one year at her new job next month and I will hit my one year in December. My question is, will we be able to qualify for the NACA mortgage even if we don’t have one year of full employment with our current jobs? This is one of the conditions that we have to fulfill in order to be re-submitted for qualification.
Additionally, my wife has a green card but one of the conditions that NACA put on us was that they require and visa and work authorization card. When we spoke with the government, they told us that since she has received her green card, she won’t need her work authorization card because a green card shows her ability to work in the United States. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!
