MemberMy file was updated to Not Qualified-Conditions on Monday 01/06, My MC and i addressed the conditions the same day. How long does it normally take underwriting to review files that had conditions? MC isn’t responding to emails and It has been over a week with no updates.
Thanks,

MemberUsually it takes about 1-3 days to get updates from the underwriters. I would reach out again and ask for an update. This could mean there is nothing to report, though.
You can also try calling Member Services, as well.

MemberTypically the UW respond within 3 business or so. Your MC will also usually not respond to anything unless they have an actual update to give you. If their update is “still haven’t heard anything” they probably won’t respond…their schedule is such that they usually only have 1 hour during their schedule in which a member is not in their office and that 1 hour is their lunch. So if your MC is responding at all then they are likely working late or have a missed/canceled appointment.
The first thing I would do is call member services to see if you can get them to nudge your MC. Then I would try to confirm with your MC if there is anything else that is needed from you. Your MC will not send the UW 1 piece of information at a time. It is possible there was miscommunication and your MC is sitting on your file waiting for you to send a “missing” piece over before they send to UW. Also copy your naca lynx address.

ParticipantI was about to post something similar. I received my conditions on the 24th of December. I waited 2 weeks to get those conditions by the way. I sent as many documents to my MC as possible. Today is the 14th (now 5 weeks since my file was submitted) and I am still waiting for my file to be resubmitted. My MC absolutely refuses to address the conditions with me by email and is insisting that we schedule an appointment. At this point, the process is completely inefficient. I don’t understand how a business can be run this way. It is so utterly frustrating. Anyone else have these kinds of issues?

MemberYour MC should not have to schedule an in-person meeting to submit your conditions. The fact your MC is suggesting this tells me there might be more to it than that. Possibly miscommunication. Possibly the MC is unclear and feels you need further counselling. Have they indicated why? Just that’s how they operate? Because that is not how naca operates in general.

ParticipantI bought my first house using NACA and did not have these issues at all. I don’t know what kind of miscommunication there could be. Most of the conditions were copies of documents that I have already submitted (like my voter registration card and tax transcript). I called the office and the person who answered the phone said my MC cant work on my file until I have an appointment because they have been so busy. To me, this is truly inefficient and I think she needs more training on how to be more effective in her position. It is a waste of my time and hers to make me come in to the office for an appointment just to address the conditions.
My appointment is next week which puts me a full 6 weeks after my file was initially submitted to the underwriter. I fully expected to have been much further in the process by now.

Member@TTrumble @nelsont It has now been almost three weeks since we resubmitted to underwriting(01/06) still no response from my MC. Weird enough last Friday(01/17 my status went from (not qualified –Conditions) back to (qualification pending). Is it normal for the status to go back a step when being resubmitted? Did my MC think he resubmitted to underwriting but noticed on Friday he never did? Every time i call member services they state that this is normal underwriting may be behind, 3 weeks behind? Just looking for some answers here.
Thanks

MemberI don’t know if it’s normal. It’s not unheard of. It could be an error. At the very least it means someone is reviewing your file – the status updates are manual.
It is possible your MC slipped up. It’s also possible the UW are 3 weeks behind. I think you will drive yourself crazy trying to get to the bottom of it.
