Those that did new construction and had just lot # and street name, how did u get through the loan process. I have my lot # and street name but MC said I could start the loan/credit access because there’s no actual physical address. I contacted the builder and they told me that they won’t have an actual address until there’s a roof built which they say is in the next 60-75 days! Does this mean I just wait and can’t go thru credit access bcos it a new construction? Pls help.
I’ve seen instances where addresses were assigned prior to breaking ground. Can you ask the builder why they follow this rule? Are they aware the bank will not let you apply for the loan without an address? Maybe try searching listings for houses with addresses that aren’t even started to try and persuade them.
I received my address the week of signing my contract, haven’t broken ground or anything. Trust me they have it, if they don’t they can get it!
My builder knew the address when I picked my lot. I believe they need an address way before a roof for zoning and permit reasons.
Is it a street where there are other houses?
It is an existing community, in fact this is one of the 2 last lot. After speaking to the builder they said in the county (WV), they will not issue an address until the house is under roof and Fire and Rescue can come out and physically observe the house. MC said he will take it up the NACA management, so I’m just waiting.
