Hi – reaching out with a question regarding an initial video meeting with a NACA counselor. The day of meeting instruction mention that a counselor will text and email approximately one hour prior to your counseling session. When the counselor is ready they will call you to provide a meeting ID to access the gotomeeting session. I received an email (no text) today at 9:34 am saying to expect a call within the hour for my session. A call never came. 20 minutes later, I received a gotomeeting link, which I clicked and joined, yet no one was on the other end from 9:52am – 12:30pm ET. In seeking live support, it became abundantly clear that I was not the only person to experience this exact issue today. Could someone please let me know what recompense there is for this, and what the best next steps are. Thank you.
We’re sorry your appointment was missed. This week’s ATD event had a lighter than normal staff because of a Covid-19 outbreak at the National Counseling Center that has a number of staff members currently in self quarantine. Your best bet at this point is to call your nearest NACA office to reschedule for the first appointment available.
NACA COUNSELING APPOINTMENT TODAY – NO CALL FROM COUNSELOR
This is very discouraging this is the 2nd missed call I take time off from work to make sure I am available and I don’t inconvenience the counselor
Let me rephrase that this is the 2nd time I haven’t heard anything from my counselor and I have all emails open, my phone is ready I emailed my counselor a hour before letting her know I am awaiting patiently for this appointment and on top of all that.. who can I contact to is there a contact for the Miami office.
