First I would like to say that those that read my first journey post. I hope that I was able to give some insight and help at least ONE person…With that being said…

The road first traveled was not an easy one, and I am by no means finished but at least the driving feels a lot safer and smoother now.

    Quick Recap
Attended Homebuyer Workshop June 16, 2018
First Intake Session which in reality wasn’t an intake session now that I look back on it. It was more a flashback of my MC’s childhood since that’s what we talked most about: July 10, 2018
July 11-August 9th ALOT of emailing, calling member services, voicemails, some not so nice returned calls from MC.
    August 10th: Submitted to UW
August 14th: File returned with conditions. Mostly of items that my MC failed to complete and submit like LOEs previously provided, an action plan, my budget..Basically she submitted an incomplete file to UW and nicely blamed that on me and told me to start a payment plan on an account that would have fallen off in November. Where I later discovered that wasnt necessary for qualification. Just needed to wait until it fell off. So lost out on money toward savings by listening to the previous MC’s advice
August 14-September 11th-More ignored emails, more ignored calls, no response from requests through member services to have her call me back.
September 13 Attend Achieve the Dream event, got my heartbroken BUT finally got some answers and some REAL direction. Completed 1 participation point.
September 17-File marked as Counselor Unassign

TODAY SEPTEMBER 19 THANK GOD MY FILE HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO THE COUNSELOR I REQUESTED FROM THE ACHIEVE THE DREAM EVENT.

Not only did she email me FIRST THING this morning since it was her first day back in after the event just as a quick follow up to meeting me last Thursday BUT she also set another follow up day and time.

    LET THE NEW JOURNEY BEGIN!!!!

This is awesome news @whitknee. Was it the counselor I recommended you try to obtain? Regardless, it sounds like this one is very proactive. I was hoping you would get qualified at the event but at least the ball is moving forward.

@futurehomeowner15 no it wasnt her. I reached out to the one that you suggested via email to see what her caseload was but I never received a response back. The counselor that I have now was the one that got lucky enough to see my darling face at the event lol. She’s already on a good foot with me because she actually communicated. So the next test is, will she reach out by Friday like she said. She has to send over a new action plan since the one that she created on Thursday at the event had my old counselors name on it since she was still assigned to me at the time. Either way we will see. Honestly at this point im just glad that I dont see that old MC’s name on my file anymore.

Congratulations! I love your attitude about this whole situation. I really hope when this is all over the first MC name is shared so some light can be shed on her and the way she handles members.

Thanks @Kirkan1981 my attitude wasnt always that great but there was something in the way my new MC said “I got you” today that just made the entire day 10 times better. She even copied her own boss in on an email to make sure that my file was transferred. That’s the effort and extra little push that all members need. It takes no extra time. Probably took her two milliseconds and less than 10 minutes later, BOOM my file was transferred and assigned.

Thank you new best friend @pmathewr I think that this entire thread needs a year end graduation party. The homeowners class of Fall/Winter 2018. I dont think I have experienced this many emotions when I was pregnant and a million hormones were rushing through my body at one time lol.

@whitknee If you allow me I would just advise you that if at some point your current counselor does not call you or e-mail you when she said she would or something like that happens, keep the good attitude and just keep following up with her, she may not be ignoring you in purpose. I am just saying this because even though the 3 counselors that I’ve had have not been very responsive, eventually I would get the answer to my questions, maybe not the same day and after calling and e-mailing several times but I assumed they were too busy. Same situation with my Closing Coordinator, I have to call her many times (I am not going to say how many because you are going to think I’m crazy) before she answers a phone call, or sometimes she does not respond to an e-mail and I would have to send another one. However, I still think she’s great and she’s working for my benefit, I just wanted to give you that piece of advise because I know this process is a rollercoaster and today you may be feeling positive and the next you feel down. Keep the good attitude and I’m sure you’ll eventually have those keys
