@Pratik – Good Morning and thank you so much for all the information you have provided. I went into contract with D R Horton back in December. I applied with their lender and was approved; however, in my contract the placed wording stating I would only get the closing cost incentive if I used their preferred lender. I asked again and this was her response:
We will only be able to give the 7k towards rate buy down with use of DHI and this is if we can get approval from the mortgage manager. We are never able to pay any type of buy down/closing costs with outside lenders.
Should I escalate this (and if yes, to whom) or has their policy possibly changed?
