    Hello Everyone,

About two weeks ago my daughter and I volunteered in the Inglewood, CA office. I also had an appt the day I volunteered at 5pm. Although I live about 2 hours away from Inglewood, the trip was well worth it. We were there bright and early (9:30am) to volunteer. We put together over 450 packets for the Save the Dream event. The two ladies at the front desk were very nice and friendly. Now the office manager – not so nice. Actually she was very rude, the lady at the front desk introduced us and she just rolled her eyes. I’m sure she is stressed, but she should have been a bit more professional. We volunteered til about 4:30pm, I was exhausted to say the least. But I actually had a great time volunteering and plan on doing it again. My 5pm appt went as planned. I was there from 5-9:45pm, yes 9:45pm. My MC had a presentation @6pm so I was asked to come back at 7pm. I had no problem with it; I’m familiar with Inglewood so me and my daughter went and had dinner. We worked on my file from 7-945 straight. I had no problem being there that late; I just wanted my file to go forward. My MC told me that we got a lot accomplished; he said what we did that day normally take 2-3 appts. I have a few more documents to take in on my next appt on 6-27 and I’m hoping I will be submitted to underwriting when I return. My MC is a great guy, this is my second MC. The first MC I had, I knew the day when I met her she was not going to be with NACA very long – and she wasn’t. It took me some time to get a new MC, but it seems that it was well worth it. I encourage everyone to volunteer; this speeds up the process a bit. This has been a looooonnnggggg ride for me; I went to the workshop in June of last year. Its not totally NACA’s fault for it taking so long, I had to get my financials in order also. From the day I started with NACA, I knew it was going to be a long process. I have done years of research on NACA; I have read the blogs, comments, complaints, EVERYTHING – the good, bad and ugly. NACA does get a bad rap, but I still plan on giving them a try. I’m sure I will get frustrated and even drive myself crazy, but I plan on prevailing through it all. I wish everyone luck and hopefully next time you hear from me I will have some good news.

P.S. Tim Trumble you are the BEST!! You are the reason I have not given up yet. Thanks for being an advocate for us in the forum.

    Christelh,

Glad to hear you had a positive experience with the Inglewood office. I will also be working with that office. Who was your MC? I’m hoping I have a good one!

    Hello Christelh,

First, thank you for your very kind words about my work. It’s especially appreciated on some of the very long workdays here.

I’m happy to hear that your office experience was a good one. Obviously, I am at a loss to explain why the Office Manager would have been rude to you, and I certainly apologize for that happening. I know her well enough to suspect that it almost had to be a bad day catching up to her. (We do all have our bad days, even me! 😉 ) She has actually made great strides in improving the Inglewood office since taking over there just a few months ago.

I’m certainly pleased that you made so much progress during your appointment and are planning on volunteering again. You were obviously well prepared for the appointment, which can make all the difference sometimes.

Thanks again, and please contuniue to keep us updated on your progress!
