Does member services tell your counselor you reached out to them?
Background: We got conditions after being submitted. We fixed them same day. Our counselor said she resubmitted us, but our file is not reflecting that. She says she doesn’t know why. I want to call member services to confirm that we have been resubmitted.
I don’t want to burn bridges with my counselor and make her think we don’t trust her but I also want to make sure we have been submitted and just didn’t fall through the cracks.
I’m not sure where you are getting the idea that seeking accountability from your counselor is somehow the same as “burning bridges”. Forgive me for being blunt here, but we’re not that kind of people.
You absolutely should call Member Services and they will definitely tell your counselor and also note it in your file, which is exactly how it should be. If at any point you think your counselor is engaging in any sort of retribution just becuase you are checking to make sure things are getting done properly, it needs to be reported to us immediately because it is not tolerated, period.
You can and should call Member Services with any questions you may have. That’s why they are there. As I’ve often written here, being a “polite pest” goes a long way toward keeping things moving forward for you.
