The $25,000 lien NACA places on the home exists primarily to enforce the owner occupancy requirement of the NACA loan and remains in place for the life of the loan. The lien may only be removed if you are going to sell the home.
To begin the lien release process, please call the NACA Member Assistance Program (MAP) at 281-968-6222.
I’ve been trying to contact someone from NACA by phone and email to see about removing the lien on my house so I can refinance. I’ve been unsuccessful thus far. Can someone please tell me what I can do because Navy Federal will not move forward on my refinance unless the lien is removed? I’ve owned the house for 12 years and will remain living in the house. My main reason for refinancing is to have my ex-boyfriend’s name removed from the loan. Thank you
Be persistent with the emails. The team that processes lien releases are working from home at present due to a Covid-19 outbreak at their office location. Their response time is a little slower than normal as a result, but they are there and will help you as soon as possible.
