I just noticed a rejected condition was updated today and I have NO IDEA what to give these people…
I am buying a new construction and I did a pre-approval with the builder’s preferred lender back in February. Citibank is asking for proof of withdrawal or declination from the other mortgage company.
I never did an actual bank application with the other lender so I could not do a withdrawal. When I called the other lender to ask if there was anything they could give me, she said no. I wrote a detailed LOE and attached the email from the builder notifying everyone including the other lender that NACA was now my new lender.
Has anyone had this problem? @TTrumble can you help me out?
Hello Pearl609,
Bottom line, don’t take the other lender’s “no” for an answer. Sounds like you got someone who didn’t want to be bothered. Just get someone from the other lender to write a simple letter on their letterhead stating that you never submitted an application with them and that you are not presently their client.
That should be more than sufficient.
