Hello all, I purchased my home through NACA in January of 2020. I have just had to move across the country for my job, and so I was forced to sell the home. It will be 3 years after my initial purchase in January 2023. However, I am wondering if it is possible to purchase any earlier than that, since I had to move for work? The home has been sold as of 2 weeks ago. We are temporarily staying with family- and I had a child earlier this year at 27 weeks (that resulted in a lengthy hospital stay for us both as I had a severe condition) and she now receives treatments and is likely to need home therapies that we cannot participate in in our current living situation. I appreciate any consideration any insight!
I recently contacted member services and was told that since I did not live in the home for 3 years I was automatically ineligible for future services, is this true? Is there some sort of waiver I can try to obtain? I really appreciate any help or consideration.
Members are free to refinance or sell at any time. However there may be a sliding scale penalty for selling the home in under five years.
I have been advised that you are already working with the director of the MAP department to clarify the situation and reach a final solution. Please continue to do so until we reach a final resolution for you.
