I am wondering what is a good estimated turn around to hear back from UW regarding your file that has been submitted. I am a bit nervous that the “Achieve the Dream” Events will delay my file out for a few weeks as well as this time this year.
I had my first intake appointment on Thursday July 19th and my file was submitted on Friday the 20th. My Web file still has me as “Qualification – pending”. Thank you everyone in advance!July 25, 2018 at 2:34 pm #43444July 25, 2018 at 2:36 pm #43445
Thank you @whitknee . I did my workshop in February but have been delayed to be seen by a counselor in person or remote until July 19th. I had to make sure i had all my paperwork in order so i wouldn’t need a 2nd appointment.
My only concern now is the Events delaying the process of my file being submitted. I read through other posts that may be a possibility… Any thought?July 25, 2018 at 7:43 pm #43454JHarris981Member
@bayarea415 my experience (per my MC and an underwriter) is that the Achieve the Dream events do push things back for those of us going the traditional route. A lot of underwriters work at those events all day long, so there isn’t any time to review the other submissions that have been sent the traditional route. You can always call member services to check on the status of your file. If your underwriter is on the west coast or near that area, I’d say there’s a good chance for delay. Tim Trumble mentioned that things going slower during this season anyway, so I guess it’s a perfect storm unfortunately.July 25, 2018 at 7:52 pm #43455
@JHarris981 I appreciate you giving me a bit of light on this. I’m hoping the pushback isn’t too bad because from what I see, there’s many events coming up which may be at least 3 weeks to over a month out. I’m hoping I can hear something soon.
Yea i hit up member services but they told me about maybe being delayed 3 weeks or so, but from my experience everytime I call, there’s different answers.July 25, 2018 at 9:16 pm #43457
@bayarea415 my MC also mentioned UW being 3 weeks behind due to the events which. Personally I think that they should have added extra UW staff to handle these events not take away from the ones that they already have. Its u fair to everyone. My MC is working the event in Atlanta in September so I am praying so hard that I will have moved past her desk and would have seen some progress by then otherwise that’s going to delay me even further.July 25, 2018 at 9:19 pm #43458
Darn android and its auto correct…I meant to say unfairJuly 26, 2018 at 1:03 am #43470
@whitknee that totally seems unfair to me as well. I understand that they are working super hard on getting families approved in person, but that shouldn’t be a reason to push other files back that have been submitted. Hopefully they have time to get more people working with UW so they can come back to you in a timely fashion. Hopefully @TTrumble Can weigh in on this topic. Thank you!July 26, 2018 at 9:10 am #43474dnianeMember

@dniane wow!! Congratulations!! yes, mine was submitted on the 20th. How did you find out? Did you receive an email or alert or was it by you calling member services?July 26, 2018 at 3:18 pm #43486dnianeMember
@bayarea415, I logged in to my account around midnight and saw the status as “Qualified”
I could not believe, in the morning I call my MC and she confirmedJuly 26, 2018 at 7:19 pm #43501July 26, 2018 at 7:33 pm #43502
@dniane That is so awesome. My File was submitted EOD on Friday 07/20/2018. Today is the 26th so I’m hoping I will here soon from anyone that is in charge of my file or an update on my web file.August 1, 2018 at 12:45 pm #43662
@whitknee Have you had any update on your file? I still haven’t heard back and my MC and boss won’t answer phone calls. its been almost 2 weeks out and even though we flew by to get into UW, i’ve been held up here because of the events.August 1, 2018 at 10:44 pm #43675
@bayarea415 my MC finally sent the employment verifications over at 6:19pm on 7/30. They were all returned the next morning when my employers past and present returned to the office. I got confirmations from all the HR departments around 11am. I sent an email to my MC letting her know that she should have them all on file but as usual she hasnt responded. I dont know if she has submitted me to UW or not. My we file still shows HBW complete call for an appointment.
