Are there certain items that MUST be included in your homeowners insurance?
I’ve read that we have to have the Loan number, mortgage clause, closing date as the start date of the policy and 100% replacement cost of the house included in the policy, and all borrowers listed…is all of this true? We want to make sure that what we submit for homeowners insurance is not rejected by the lender.
Also, is it the declaration page that we would submit to Citi Mortgage as proof of HOI?
Hello dreamhome8588,
Yes those items are standard fare. Not to worry. The insurance company knows what they are doing as far as required information, since they do hundreds of them each day.
