I have been declined after 4 months of waiting (I attended the DC event). Please advise if you have sample advocate letters that I can send to lawmakers and Freddie. It would be advantageous to know what language is effective and also to know what not to say. Really need to talk with someone in NACA about the reason for my denial.

    Please help.

    Thank you

    Hello GGrosjean,

I’m sorry to learn of the decline on your modification proposal. As many successful NACA member can tell you, you have to keep trying until they say yes. You should call our Membeer Services department at 888-404-6222, option 4. The representative can discuss your decline and how we can proceed in creating a new proposal.

There are no templates or sample letters as far as contacting your elected officials or other governement agencies, nor should there be. Espeically with your Congressional representatives, they want to hear your story in your own words.

The most important thing here is to not give up. Patience and persistence are the most powerful weapons you have in this fight. As long as you are willing to keep fighting for your home, so are we.
