I’m considering applying for a HELOC for some repairs that need to be made to my property. Issues were present before I purchased my home through NACA and the inspection did not show it. As a first time home buyer, I wasnt intiutive enough to catch them on my own. I know there is a request that has to be submitted to someone…has anyone had success in getting their request approved for home repairs?!?!.

    Hello uscanonymous,

Typically, home repairs are the only situation in which NACA will potentially subordinate our lien on the home that enforces our owner occupancy requirement to allow a HELOC. Decisions are strictly on a case by case basis. Please contact the NACA Member Assistance Program (MAP) at 281-968-6222 to start the process.
