Does anyone know who I need to contact to get someone to review my file when a MC isn’t responding?May 9, 2012 at 6:11 pm #426Jack_ToepferParticipant
ttrumble on here usually gets the ball rolling for me. He copies Regional Directors and the like on the e-mail which is usually incentive enough for MCs to respond.
Good Luck.May 9, 2012 at 6:30 pm #428
Thanks, I sent him and a few others an email. I got a response from someone but it was basically more waiting, I was told the earliest phone follow up available is mid-June… Keep in mind I’ve had no progress since March! I just don’t understand why its so difficult for someone to review my file, and let me know where I stand, I was told in march that I was ready for underwriting and now I can’t get a response!May 10, 2012 at 9:32 am #449Jack_ToepferParticipant
I agree 100%. When I’m unavailable or out of the office my work can’t simply sit on my desk… It isn’t like they aren’t all following the same rules. They are all working to make sure your file is complete so that it can be submitted to underwriting or for bank app or wherever. Any MC in any office should be able to step in and view your webfile and tell you next steps.
It is one of the many suggestions I’m bringing with me to my volunteering sessions.May 10, 2012 at 9:40 am #451
I’m trying to stay positive because overall, this is a good program. I just wish the process could be streamlined. I’ve paid my membership fee which was supposed to ensure me naca services through the purchase process, but I can’t seem to get basic questions answered… Fingers crossed this will all be over soonMay 10, 2012 at 5:21 pm #464xochitl_e06Participant
I am in the same situation. Last time I talked to my MC was on April 9, and he said he was going to re-send my file to UW. I haven’t been able to talk to him since. I checked my file and it says “not qualified” but I don’t know if there are any more conditions or if the file was never sent. I have sent him e-mails and left messages for him without any reply. I guess the only option is to keep trying and stay poistive as you said!! Good Luck! 🙂May 10, 2012 at 5:38 pm #465
I called the 1-888# and they will send your MC a request to contact you.May 11, 2012 at 6:01 pm #477haroldm603Participant
Ready to move forward with purchase program, MC has been great everything looks good but underwriter has questions not clear on next steps. Very frustratingMay 15, 2012 at 8:55 am #511
I just had my follow up meeting yesterday and no timeline was giving on when I would be submitted to underwriting. I have a new counselor since my old counselor left and the new counselor never considered looking at my file prior to our phone convo. I asked him several times how long would it be before he could review my file and he wouldn’t even give an estimate. So how long should I give him before I start calling to check to see if he looked it over or contact a higher up.May 15, 2012 at 11:15 am #517TTrumbleMember
If you have a new counselor who has inherited your file, then he has most likely inherited dozens of others in addition to the caseload he already had. One thing that I continually preach here is how patience is an absolute requirement to get through the process.
Were you given a task list at the follow up meeting? You cannot be submitted to underwriting until everything on the task list is completed. If you do have all of the necessary items completed, continue to check your file on line to follow its progress and let me know if there are no new developments in two weeks.

I wasn’t giving or told anything in my follow up meeting. I’ve completed the task list that I was giving in my intake meeting. The new counselor acknowledge not having a chance to look at my file prior to calling me, so i didn’t understand the purpose of even calling until he’s looked at my file and that’s what frustrated me the most. Id rather he take the time during our follow up meeting to verify I had everything on my task list and when asked when could I expect him to review my file he beat around the bush and never gave an answer.May 22, 2012 at 2:59 pm #658
Here’s another short email I received from my counselor:
Good Morning. After reviewing your file as I mentioned in our conversation, we will keep you informed as we proceed with our normal procedures here at NACA. Continue to work on the items on your task list. A couple of areas that you need to address are: alternative credit and establishing consistent rental history. We thank you for your patience
I only had a few items on my task list which are already completed. I already have establish alternative cred: child support, cable, insurance and 4 months of rental history at my new place and previous rental history. Im having the hardest time to get him to be specific which makes me believe he’s not really looking at my file because he wouldve seen the alternative credit which I was told to get 2 months agoMay 22, 2012 at 3:47 pm #663
