Had my 2nd intake appt and was told by my counselor 3 items on my credit report were showing last activity 1/2020. However, when I pull my credit report, these items are showing last activity over 2 years ago. What can I do to resolve this issue?
How are you getting the information on your credit report. Compare that with the one your MC pulled. You should have been given a hard copy right then.
There’s not a whole lot you can do but call the bureau and the collection agency to get it straightened out. Each of the 3 bureaus report differently which is why naca pulls a tri merge.
Also last activity is completely different from date it first showed. Basically as long as the collection is within 7 to 10 years or so for many things and not settled through a payment plan or officially charged off they can report every week if they wanted to.

If you used CreditKarma you might get different information because:
1. They use Vantage score which is different (but similar) than FICO
2. They do not work with Experian (which is the hardest bureau to get information out of and one necessary to use and also may contain information naca is looking at that you just don’t have available)
3. Do not make hard pulls and thus give you the basic information which is good for most things but, will likely leave fine details out such as whether a company is reporting every month.
I use credit karma myself. I also use it as a guideline only. In reality nothing is truly free. In order to get the information banks look at you need to pay (not saying you didn’t just offering this as an a possible explanation for discrepancies) which will give you a hard pull and show up on your report.
