Iā€™m looking for advice from other NACA members.

I’m trying my hardest not to be a nag to my counselor so my hope is to get some constructive feedback from you all.

    1. How much time do you give your counselor to respond to e-mails and/or voicemails?
    a. If your counselor does not respond within that timeframe, what is your next action?
    2. When all documents are submitted, how often do you follow up with your counselor to ensure it has been submitted to underwriting?
    3. Do you find out more information about your loan request by calling Member Services for status updates or e-mailing your counselor every few days?
    4. Any other tips to get the ball rolling?

I usually expect an answer from my counselor within a day, if I don’t get an answer I follow up with him and he usually responds. I definately had to learn to be patient but sometimes I have the feeling that he’s too busy to really pay attention to what I’m trying to tell him and requesting and sometimes I’m scared nothing is being done about it. For example, right now I’m waiting for my approval price to be increased based on my income, I’m not sure if he already did everything the underwriter needs for this to happen. We’ll see.
