After lots of looking and 4 rejected offers, our offer was finally accepted on a beautiful dream home. We are on day 27 of the 10 day period to submit our file to the bank. We are very behind and that is due to the fact that my husband and I are a young couple who started this program off with no credit, through the year and a half journey we were told not to get any because NACA didn’t want us in any debt. Because of this, we were told we needed several alternate credits. It took us over a week to get alternate credit statements that naca approved of and this is because when we thought we had submitted what we needed our counselor came back and told us he needed different kinds of statements. Now that we finally got that figured out, our mortgage counselor ran our credit before finally submitting our file to the bank and a FRAUD ALERT came out under my Equifax credit report. Everything came back fine for my husband and TransUnion and Experian came back fine for me. For a whole week I’ve been calling Equifax they keep telling me that everything is fine my credit is clear but every time my MC runs my credit alert it says fraud alert! I’ve talked to everyone I can talk to at Equifax, the highest of supervisors, and they all tell my credit is clear. I even recorded a clip of the agent telling my my credit is fine and the only reason its saying fraud alert is because I have no credit.
We’ve been ay this for a week! more lost time! Now we are being told we might be denied by BoA because we’ve taken so long and that we are not going to close on time and it is up to the sellers to keep the contract!
We have worked so hard to get to where we are and I feel like its al slipping through the cracks over a credit bureau misunderstanding. My MC said he’s going to talk to the underwriters to see what we can do and that he would get back to me today but he hasn’t and offices are closed now. Our realtor said he will talk to the Sellers agent to inform him of the delay but no promises of them wanting to wait past the closing date, no reply from him either. I am at my witts and don’t know what to do.

I always recommend taking whatever means of measure possible to deal with fraud and be sure you’re being safe out there. I own a business, and it’s a field in which you can very easily get scammed, so I know it better than anyone. When I first started out I thought I could save up some money on this part, but I was mistaken,. It’s one of the most important niches in your company and since I’ve implemented KYC software I was able to see an improvement with the naked eye. Be it we are talking about individuals or companies do whatever you can to prevent yourselves from scams and frauds.
