I’m currently going through the NACA steps while simultaneously trying to enroll in school next year in August. I don’t plan to apply for any student loans, but instead to receive pell grants to pay my way through school. Will starting school interfere with my NACA journey?
The answer to your question will be dependent upon things to which you made no reference. Will you still be working full time or will the grants be relied upon for living expenses?
The grants will not be an acceptable source of income to qualify, so you will still need to working and able to qualify on your own earned income. Within that context nothing will change regarding your ability to qualify. Provided you are still working and still meeting your obligations, going to school with Pell Grants paying for the educational expenses will not be a factor in your ability to qualify or close on a home.
