The atd event is not in place of intake. It includes intake and every step from signing up to be a member all the way to getting qualified depending on your current situation. It is not required though highly recommended if you can fit it into your schedule.
An intake session/counseling appointment is just one part of the ATD event. The events are designed to take the first four steps of the NACA process, bring them togehter in one place (whehter physical or virtual) and condense them in a way to make it possible for people to be qualified in as little as one day. The Qualification Workshop, document submission, intake/counseling session and review by underwriting for qualification or next steps are all done in a single day if at all possible.
Workshops are conducted indpendently of the rest of the process, which allows existing members to register to follow up with a counselor if needed and potentially be submitted to underwriting that same day.
I just had my virtual ATD event and it was basically the same as my first intake session. He even told me they only allocate 1 hour total for you and they don’t have time for any sort of underwriting review.
Thank you. Well I’ll try to get in touch with a counselor well before my August atd appointment to see if we can go over my income and documents to make sure I can even purchase in the time frame that I’m looking and the areas I’m looking at.
