Per email i received from Services on 6/4/20 I am scheduled to meet with an assigned NACA counselor on:
    • Date: July 9, 2020
    • Day: Thursday
    • Time: 11:00 A.M. Central Standard Time

He is at the San Antonio office. I was sent his name/phone # and extension.
When i received i called to introduce myself and state i was looking forward to him.
I was not able to get him or anyone so left him a message.

As the date has approached, i have called again at least twice, including just a few minutes ago to again confirm we are still good for the 9th. Again it went to his voice mail.
I have taken that day off and cancelled/suspended all other engagements just to be sure I make myself available so as to get some traction on my journey to NACA qualification.

I have uploaded all the docs required of me and i have the funds ready to move forward.
My only concern is I have not been able to reach the assigned counselor.
Maybe my concern is misplaced but I i do not think it is unrealistic to have had some initial communication with him prior to Thursday.

FYI.. my first Qualification Workshop was in May.

    What do you guys think.

I think right now you are getting a little nervous. The counselors will almost never call or return voicemails under any circumstances other than to commence an appointment or to reach out with an important time sensitive piece of information from the underwriters.

Email is 100% the best mode of contact unless your counselor specifically tells you in person to call. And even then you reach out no more than once or twice per week. The more emails they have to sift through the longer it will take to get a response.

If you must call you can call your local office main line and speak to the office administrator or call member services.

    @Nelsont thanks for the feedback.
I’ll just sit tight and hope the appt. does happen.

    Hello sweetlilly,

To be completely honest, your concern is a little misplaced as you suspected.

As fate would have it, at the time when NACA staff members are returning to their offices with some strict physical distancing requirements, the San Antonio office staff has been forced to switch to a work at home model when one of the HAND department staff was exposed to the virus.

Since they are not in the office, they don’t have access to their office phones.

Your appointment will be go on as scheduled. You will be receiving information regarding how to contact the counselor either by videoconference or phone to keep the appointment. Check your email for the instructions.

If for some reason you don’t have the info by noon Wednesday, please call NACA Member Services at 425-602-6222 and a rep will help you get things confirmed for Thursday.

If you don’t have any info

@TTrumble thanks for allaying my concerns.
