I was unaware that if you went to the American Dream Event and spoke with a counselor your file would be transferred to the counselor you spoke with over the phone- below is an email I just got back from the office I was working with:

    Greetings,

Your file is not longer with Jacksonville office. Your file is showing under Augusta office. Please reach out to the counselor C.L, she is the counselor whom your spoke at the event in Tally. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Hello pgriffin,

I’m afraid you have made a very large and totally inaccurate assumption. Your statement that if you went to an Achieve th3e Dream event “your file would be transferred to the counselor you spoke with over the phone” is absolutely false.

You file was transferred to the Augusta office because Jacksonville is severely understaffed at the moment. After the pandemic hit, several counselors in the Jacksonville office left the organization, including yours. Therefore, the files had to be transferred to other offices throughout the southeast. In your case, since you had gone to the ATD event and spoken with a counselor who had been at the event, it was most efficient and convenient to transfer your file to that counselor.

Please do not make such unfounded assumptions regarding your file or NACA’s procedures, and especially do not post such things online. That is exactly how false information gets spread that is damaging to everyone involved. Please contact us to verify something before considering such presumptions as fact.
