It is with pride and gratitude to the people of Central Virginia that NACA announces its newest office opening soon in Richmond. We are proud to play a part in the revitalization of historic Richmond and contribute to the city’s growth through making affordable home ownership a reality for everyone! Special thanks to #NBC12 for their coverage to help document this special moment in NACA history! http://www.nbc12.com/story/25196529/naca-opening-in-richmond-continuing-help-for-homebuyers

I’m interested in buying a home.
Please go to the NACA website at http://www.naca.com and enter your Zip Code where indicated to locate and register for a NACA Home Buyer’s Workshop in your area. This is the required first step in the process.

Hello Mr. Trumble,
Do you know of any realtors or agent buyers, (names) tht are experienced with NACA, in the Richmond VA area.
I am going through the process with NACA, and when the time comes, I would like to be ready to move foward asap.
Thank you!
Hello Adrienne Snead,
Unfortunately, I’m about the worst person to ask about that one. I do know that we have a number of approved agents in the Richmond area, especially since opening our office there. Also, any agent can become NACA approved by registering wiht us and participating in a webinar our Real Estate Department conducts twice monthly. Your best bet is to attend the Purchase Workshop on the first Thursday after you are qualified, and you will learn about selecting a real estate agent there. Since we ask you to not go house hunting until after you are NACA Qualified, you won’t be losing any time to speak of.

I am with ga naca, moving to VA. Currently looking to purchase ASAP, on SSI.
Hello Denise Lyons,
Please contact your counselor in Georgia to get your file transferred to the appropriate office in the area to which you are moving.

I have already signed a purchase agreement before I learned about the NACA program. The seller is willing to wait until fall to close. Is this possible? Another question is there a list of NACA approved home inspectors in central Virginia area? I have signed up for the July 31 workshop. What can I do in the meantime to move the process along? Thank you
Hello Carolyn Thomas,
Check with you local office to and ask about a group of inspectors, but don’t schedule one too soon, because the inspection is only valid for a certain period of time. The best thing you can do is work closely with your counselor, follow his or her directions quickly as possible and to the letter, and do the same with the items on your action plan. Make sure that you continually have documents like paystubs and bank statements continually updated.
