  1. If I was already submitted and the UW came back with “not qualified – conditions” can I attend the “achieve the dream event” to be resubmitted and qualified?

    1. Hello missa5807,

You will of course have to meet the conditions, but as long as you do so, you can definitely come to the event for be submitted and meet with an underwriter to be qualified.

  2. If I have already had my meeting with my MC, the only thing I need to do is either pay off a debt or settle and I can be submitted to underwriting, can I attend the event in Hampton, VA and possibly get approved that day if everything is in order?

Also, should we bring paper docs or can I bring a USB?

    1. Hello shanahan15304,

Provided everything is taken care of, you may definitely come to the Hampton event to hopefully get your qualification. In fact the Achieve the Dream events have already built a reputation for people flying in from all over the country to get their qualification completed. Get that debt resolved and we’ll see you in Hampton!

Also, bring paper docs. They will be scanned in and returned to you. For security purposes, NACA computers may not access data from any sort of external storage device such as USB drives, CD’s, external hard drives, etc.

    1. Hello Tracy King,

Just to clarify, NACA is a mortgage program. We do not sell houses as your question seems to imply.

NACA is licensed in approximately 38 states and the District of Columbia, and anyone wanting to buy a home may use the NACA program.

  3. I was not qualified with conditions, I’ve sent my MC all of the conditions on the list and unfortunately he is not responding to me and I am not sure it’s been updated. If I attend the Achieve the dream event do I need to bring every document that I have sent since I started with Naca or just the conditions documents to get qualified?

    1. Hello Tiffany,

In theory, you should only need to bring the documents needed to meet the conditions. However, ask any member who completed the process efficiently and they will tell you it is always smart to have everything at hand. That’s why so many create three-ring binders with all their documents or store them on flash drives that they keep with them at all times. You will never go wrong playing it safe and bringing everything.

    1. Hello Gladys,

NACA does not have a presence in Oregon very simply because we have not received sufficient interest from Oregonians. Their community leaders and elected officials have not expressed interest in bringing a NACA office to the state. As a non-profit, that kind of support is key to establishing new offices.

  4. I live in Colorado and want to buy here. But can I attend the dream event in a different state to make my process faster.
I want to know if I can attend the dream event in a different state to buy my house in denver CO

  5. I am trying to understand why my appointments with Naca keep getting canceled. I had an achieve the dream event today # 74 queue and they told me my phone doesn’t work, I need to contact my service provider. They tried calling me which is impossible because I stayed by the phone. I tried to explain and they disconnected the live chat. I really don’t know what do do right now because I tried everything and I was so prepared for this event.

    1. Hello Kyma,

I’m sorry your appointment was missed. The counselor did indeed make several attempts to call but each time got a message that “the call cannot be completed as dialed”. Please call NACA Member Services at 425-602-6222 on Monday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm Eastern Time to verify that we have the correct phone number.

It may also be possible that the area code for your phone may be a unique one that our virtual phone system does not recognize. You should discuss that possibility with the rep when you call on Monday if the information in your file turns out to be accurate.

    2. To whom it may concern,
I need your help. My name is xxxxxx xxxxxxxx. I was scheduled for an intake meeting at 1:00 pm on 2/7/2020. I went to the link that was sent to my email three months earlier, so I can be present for the meeting. There was a counselor or an employee that told me and another lady, that our counselor will call us when our time comes for the meeting. Since I was number 359 in the queue, I waited in my room and waiting for my counselor to email, call or text my phone, unfortunately, no one called. I was constantly checking my phone and my email every now and then just to make sure that I didn’t miss my meeting. However, at 7 pm, I finally receive an email with no link that said that my counselor will likely call me within the next hour for my session. At 7:17, I received another email that had a link for me to go to the meeting, unfortunately, when I click the link, the counselor (Mrs. Ona Roberson) was saying another name that was not mine. She asked for my NACA ID, when I gave it to her, at first she said that she was having a computer issue. Then she told me that she was waiting for me for 30 minutes, but I didn’t receive any email or text from her. I know it is an important meeting for me, I wouldn’t miss it for anything.

      1. Once again I need to remind our members to never post any personal information on a public forum such as this one.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the missed appointment. We did indeed have some major system issued during the online Achieve the Dream event on February 7th which set our counselors behind by several hours in some cases. Records also indicate that Ms. Roberson did indeed wait online beginning at 7:17 for you to connect to the meeting without success. Unfortunately, there is no way to explain exactly how the connection was missed.

Since then, I see you have been able to reschedule for later this month. I suspect things will be much smoother this time. Please keep me updated on your progress.
