ParticipantHello readyToday, I am also with the LA office. I was told that they are hiring more MCs in the office. Luckily my MC is still there. I think there are only a total of two MCs left in the office. I think the work will be divided among the two MC’s for the time being. Hopefully you can get through the process; three years is a long time. I’ve been with NACA for over a year and I want to give up often. I just think at the end of the rainbow, my prize will be waiting for me :). I wish you luck!!

ParticipantHello lrmatthews18,
If I remember correctly you are buying a new construction townhouse/condo?? If so, is there any difference with buying a townhouse/condo vs. a single family home?? I am also interested in purchasing a condo, but was told by my MC that sometimes NACA has issues with condo’s. He said that I should have no problem since the units are brand new. I am hoping he is correct. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

ParticipantI understand that they want us to be financially sound before we buy a house, but other things I just don’t get. My MC even told me that I can start looking for a house. Why even start looking when I know that I’m not even approved yet??? I’m going to stick with NACA because I think it’s a great program; I just hope at the end of journey there is a nice house waiting for me

ParticipantHi Jackson,
Q1.I have made a payment plan, but have not started paying it because I just sent in the information back to the IRS on Saturday.
Q2. No, this is not my first intake appt. I have been with NACA for over a year, I was hoping this was one of my final appts :(.

ParticipantThanks Tim! My plan would be to use the DPA to buy down my rate. I checked out Calhfa but they want you to use their lender and have a certain fico score. I have researched many DPA programs and they all have certain criterias that would not apply to NACA candidates. So I’m just wondering how others are utilizing DPA programs. Sorry for rambling, I’m just curious.
