    Thank you for this updated information. I was under the impression that my affordability form expired,so that’s it for me. I can continue my house search? What’s likely to happen at the next meeting with my MC? I really feel like she is not giving me all the information I need for this program to work out in my favor. It just gets frustrating and overwhelming when I don’t know the ins and outs.

    Update:I feel happy and bad at the same time. Today for the first time my counselor submitted my file to UW. However I had to question every single reason she felt my file was not ready. We were meeting from 4:00pm to 7:30pm. I mean I was just confused as to why every ATD event I went my file was getting submitted but she refused to submit. She wanted me to resubmit documents from our last meeting in August when the UW never asked for those items. I had to read everything that was asked of me from the UW line by line. I honestly was working my own file today. But we got the file submitted and I’m hoping no major conditions will appear.

    Thanks for your feedback. I’ve already been told by my MC that it’s fine to have my husband on the household but not my loan. I guess I need to figure out how long this will take because I want to move regardless. I wrote several letters about my husband willing to help pay whatever towards the house but I’m not using his income to count as MRF due to his bank statements always being in the negative. We have two separate accounts and we started with two but I took his account off this year and been doing fine according to my MC. Well I will wait and see what happens next month’s appointment with my MC.

    Update: Met all the conditions from a few weeks ago. One was form 4506T, which I had to join member service live chat online to get them to get my counselor to email me the pre-filled form. This has been about a week ago. I called my counselor twice and email but no avail. I’ll try member service next week to see if they can get her to do something.

    Come to find out the last time I met with her in August she scheduled me for my next appointment on a date for and ATD event and the office will be close.

    Received an new appointment next month but I still want her to submit my file before the appointment date. Just in case of anymore conditions and I can meet them before our next appointment.My file has not been submitted by her at all, my file was submitted twice and that’s from ATD events. Each time me meet she says she’ll submit but doesn’t. (Just ranting and hoping I get some helpful/hopeful advice). Then there’s no more ATD events online for the year to sign up for.

    @Damien Smith

    Thank you for your feedback. I did get an action plan and acknowledge it the same day I spoke with the counselor at the ATD event. He told me I would hear from a underwriter within 24hrs. I addressed all the things on action plan, which was upload my most recent bank statements and paystubs. My bank statement wasn’t available the day of the ATD and the site to access my paystub was down.

    My concern is that no one reached out to me as yet. Last ATD I was contacted right away by my counselor.

    Yes claiming victory over this circumstance!! Just a suggestion, isn’t there a letter the bureau can write you (expedited) to clear this issues? Maybe submit letter in file a proof…idk I’m just suggesting something.

    @Faith81 So is it best to inquire from my MC if my approval was/can be increased to 31% of my income? How did y’all go about this?

    @ So I would have to let my MC know i want to buy down but not how much I plan on buying down? Is MRF going to be included in buying down?

    @Nelsont Thank you for this response. So when will I be able to buy down my interest rate? You example definitely is my current situation. My income states that I can only buy an $200k home but the houses in my area are typical $300k.
