  1. How can a member “volunteer” for a NACA event in their area of interest, and is there a deadline of when to apply?

    1. Hello Karen Blanchard,

If you are referring to an Achieve the Dream event in your area, you’re welcome to just show up and check in at the volunteer desk at the event. We will definitely find a place for you.

If you can though, please contact national Outreach Coordinator Doris Dupont at ddupont@naca.com and ask what specific needs we may have for the event and when people are most needed.

If you are talking about a local workshop or help otherwise locally, simply call you local NACA office and speak to the office admin, who will give you info on what kind of help the office needs and when.

Whether it’s the local workshops or the ATD events, we couldn’t do them without the help of our volunteers. And even more opportunities will open up very soon as we return to more community advocacy and activism efforts as well. There are some exciting times ahead, and our volunteers have the opportunity to be right in the midst of it as we continue the fight for economic justice.
