NACA’s American Dream Tour stops in Atlanta, GA for a five day event, Thursday,  September 26 through Monday, September 30.    The event will run from 8am to 6pm all five days. The NACA Home Save and Home Purchase programs will both be represented at the event.

The Home Save Program gives homeowners with an unaffordable mortgage the opportunity to get their mortgage restructured to an affordable payment and avoid foreclosure.  Representatives of all the major lenders will be on hand as well as investors Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac so that many homeowners can receive a same-day solution to their mortgage problems.

The Home Purchase Program allows potential home buyers to obtain “America’s Best Mortgage” with no down payment, no closing costs, no points and always at a below market interest rate on a fixed rate, 30-year loan.   Today’s rate (as of 9/2/2013) is 4.25%.

NACA’s American Dream Events are always free, open to the public, and there is no charge for NACA’s services.  More information and registration for this and all of NACA’s scheduled American Dream Events can be found on our website at http://www.naca.com.  While advance registration is preferred, walk-ins are also welcome.

    1. Hello Paula Gray,

Please log in to the NACA file you have already created and schedule a telephone counseling appointment and submit the necessary documents to your file so we may create and submit a proposal for the modification of your mortgage.

  2. Hello I was recently told about NACA because I’m interested in purchasing a home here in the Atlanta, GA area. What I want to know is what are the steps I need to take to attend the September Atlanta American Dream Event?

    1. Hello Yumiko Gilbert,

Simply click on the name of the city where it appears in the list of upcoming events on our home page at http://www.naca.com. It will take you to a page where you can register for the event and will also provide you with a list of the documents you should bring when you come.

  3. My home was foreclosed on in October of 2011. My income is decent, and other than the foreclosure & student loans, my credit is ok but took a real hit with the foreclosure. I am really interesting in purchasing another home but was told the wait is now 3 years. Is that correct? Would it even be beneficial to visit the workshop?

    1. Hello Rather not disclose,

Definitely go ahead and sign up for a workshop and begin the process. Under the NACA program there is only a two year waiting period require before being able to buy again. In fact, we often recommend that someone begin the process one year after a foreclosure/bankruptcy/short sale so they can ensure that they are ready to return to home ownership as soon as the two years have elapsed.

Please remember that the NACA program is not credit score driven. They key factor is how you have managed your finances since the foreclosure. Without specific information on the status of your student loans, I cannot address that issue, but your Mortgage Consultant can review it and advise you of what action if any may be needed.
