I was just assigned from a remote counselor to a face-to-face counselor in the Charlotte, NC office. Will anything on my action plan (time frame, affordability, etc.) change due to having a new counselor?

Did you request to be changed to a face to face counselor?

Yes, after my last counselor suggested it. She tried to change my time frame from 3 months to 6 months after I found an error on my budget entry (which increased my affordability).

She said another counselor might be able to get me qualified after the 3 months instead of 6 months.

If another Counselor is able to in 3 months, that one should be able to shouldn’t she?

Email me at trinadoll75@aol.com. I wanna share something with you.

I guess it depends on the counselor’s workload and organization skills?

    Hello wssu08,

Simply switching counselors should not affect your action plan or affordability, unless the new counselor saw something the previous one missed. The guidelines and rules of the program don’t change when you change counselors. If it takes three months, it will still be three months, and six months will still be six months.

The Charlotte office has a great group of counselors, and is one of the two most productive NACA offices in the entire country (running neck-and-neck with Atlanta). No matter which way that goes, you’ll get the best possible solution.

@wssu08 to be honest with you I’m in the Jacksonville, fl area and I’m now on my 4th mc and my amount changed with 3 out of my 4 counselors so yes it could change I’ve been in the program for almost a year now and this has been one of the most stressful situations I have ever dealt with and the frustration has come from me having different mc and receiving different information from each one that doesn’t correspond with the last it’s just so confusing

That’s what I’m afraid of right now @determined1227. My appointment is set for November 16th, so we shall see.

    Thank you for your response.
