I had a meeting with my counselor on July 1st. He said he was going to submit me for qualification on the 2nd and set a follow up appointment for the 9th. My webfile status still says intake prep and I never recieved on alert so I emailed him on the 8th to make sure my file was submitted and he responded and said that it was submitted and we should hear back from underwriting within a week. He never reached out for my appointment so I emailed again to ask if everything was still good and he didn’t respond. It’s now the 12th and I still haven’t heard anything and my webfile status is still at intake prep. I emailed again this morning (I know it is sunday so I don’t expect to hear anything today). Does the fact that my webfile status hasn’t changed mean that he did not submit the file, even though he said that he did? It does it sometimes take a while for the status to change?July 12, 2020 at 12:44 pm #70313OParticipant
I was recently qualified. When my status was “Status: Qualification – Pending” while in the intake process that meant my file was with the underwriter.July 12, 2020 at 8:25 pm #70321
Thanks @O. I figured it changed right away. I don’t understand what’s going on.July 17, 2020 at 12:41 pm #70524
So I just wanted to post an update for anyone who may be going through the same thing. My counselor got back to me after the email I sent and said that he spoke to the underwriters and they would have my file through by the 16th (yesterday) or he would escalate my file. Well my status still had not changed yesterday so I emailed him to ask what was going on and he did not respond. I called this morning and left a message but he didn’t respond. So I called member services and they said that he never submitted my file to underwriting (which is what I thought happened) and she sent an email to both him and his supervisor. I’m upset that he lied about it. I’m an understanding person and if he said he was behind I would have understood (I might have been annoyed because I want to get moving in the process but I would have understood). I’l see what happens now.July 17, 2020 at 12:45 pm #70525
All MCs are at the atd event this weekend with Monday off. You should hear back on Tuesday.July 23, 2020 at 7:11 pm #70713
I still haven’t heard anything from my mc. He has not responded to email or voicemail or the email that member services sent telling him to contact me. It’s been 21 days since he supposedly submitted my file and my file still isn’t submitted yet. Any advice?July 23, 2020 at 8:12 pm #70718
This doesn’t make me feel hopeful for my scheduled app on Sunday. Now that I know they are off on weekends and Monday. Why would my scheduled MC appt say 7/26?July 23, 2020 at 9:15 pm #70721
@jkp2020 The MCs are only off on Mondays when they have achieve the dream events. I don’t think they have one this weekend (I’m not positive though, but I’m pretty sure I read that they would be alternating weekends now). I think you should be ok for this monday.July 23, 2020 at 9:20 pm #70722
Oh I’m sorry, the 26th is a sunday. I don’t know then why they would schedule you for a sunday unless you are registered for an achieve the dream event and there is one this weekend.July 23, 2020 at 11:27 pm #70729
@mojorysing My email does state it’s for an ATD event; however, I’ve already been to the NACA Homebuyer’s Workshop on 5/23, got my NACA ID#, and filled out my intake prep information. Once I filled out all of that, an email came and they scheduled me to attend the ATD event on 7/26. What am I missing here? What are the steps to this process? I’m getting confused. I assumed this event was me finally talking to my MC because Ive already done everything else.July 24, 2020 at 5:58 am #70733
The home buyer’s workshop is for prospective members. The atd event includes everything through qualification and members can jump to the step they are at including speaking with a counselor. If you are not yet submitted for underwriting the atd event is the best opportunity for every member.July 24, 2020 at 7:49 am #70734
@jkp2020 it is possible to be qualified at the ATD event. I would upload as much as possible to your webfile before the ATD event (2 years W2s, 3 months bank statements, most recent credit card statements, 2 years tax transcripts, 1 month pay stubs, letters of explanation for any non payroll deposits). If you are not ready to be qualified, you will get an action plan that goes over your next steps.
@nelsont is there any other option besides the ATD event? I did sign up for the next available but it isn’t until the end of September.July 24, 2020 at 8:20 am #70735
I’m not sure what I know what you mean by another option. Like if you want an appointment sooner than September? Appointments for members who are not under contract are first come first served. Call your local office administrator to see if there are cancellations. Inevitably there will be and you might be able to slide in sooner.July 24, 2020 at 11:51 am #70739July 24, 2020 at 1:18 pm #70750
I’ve got in contact with someone and was able to get an appt scheduled and now I have been assigned to a counselor! However, it’s not until 12/22/2020 this year. These wait times are ASTRONOMICAL (that’s a 7 month hold time between the home buying workshop in May to my first official counseling session in Dec)!! Hopefully, everything goes smoothly during the ATD event where I won’t have to wait till December for another appt. *positive thinking*.
