So, who has fulfilled some of their volunteer obligations already? When we originally discussed this at our intake session, I filled out a form checking several boxes related to various volunteer activities, including speaking at workshops, helping in the office, and helping “spread the word” about NACA and what it can do for people. I was then told by my counselor to just bring in some bottled water, and that each case would count as an hour of volunteer activity. Have any of you run into similar issues? What sort of volunteering have you done?

I’ve papered my neighborhood with flyers for workshops. I embellish them a little, adding comments like “cheaper than rent”, “sick of increases?”. Lots of apartment complexes here.

I volunteered at the front desk of my local office. Hoping to volunteer again soon. They get LOTS of calls.

I have volunteered at a workshop. I did not speak.

I volunteered at a workshop. I assisted with participant registration. However, I reached out and offered to help at the HomeSave event that was here in Atlanta but I never heard back. I would love to speak at a workshop.

    Hello all,

There are lots of ways to earn that volunteer credit, so just ask. Some people make phone calls to people registered for a workshop to confirm that they will attend. Even being my guest on the NACA Radio program counts!
