Hello Tim, Can you please answer a question for me?
I met with my counselor early this month and after the meeting I supplied all the documents required in order for the loan to go to underwriting. I called member services today and they said all documents are uploaded except my VOE. My employer sent the VOE to my counselor, but it was never uploaded. My question is will the lack of a VOE keep my from getting qualified at the Achieve the dream event this weekend? The drive is 7 hours each way and I don’t want to waste my time. Thanks in advance.August 5, 2019 at 8:54 pm #50491spanishvitaMember
I think they skip a few steps at the achieve the dream events in order to get people qualified faster, but it any case you will need it sooner or later.August 5, 2019 at 9:21 pm #50493
Yeah you can’t get a loan if you can’t verify income. You might be able to get qualified at the atd but if you do then that condition will be earmarked for requirement before you can close.August 5, 2019 at 9:53 pm #50495
Yes I know I will need it prior to close to verify employment, but wanted to see if it was absolutely necessary in order to get qualified at the ATD event.August 5, 2019 at 10:50 pm #50498living20057Member
I went to the ATD in June and they don’t need VOE or VOR.
You said it wasn’t uploaded, did they tell you who they emailed it back to? Maybe have them resend the email to your naca email and they can pull it up at the ATD.
I heard it will be busy in Baltimore this weekend. I was thinking of volunteering on ThursdayAugust 6, 2019 at 2:43 pm #50512soapflowergirlMember
Hello My agent informed me that she signed up and registered for the agent training today. but NACA sent her a link to sign up for the agent training again. Was this just a mistake? she wants to know who she can contact?August 6, 2019 at 3:00 pm #50513
Does she have a confirmation of the date she is signed up for? It couldn’t hurt to sign up again, if she misses a class because of sign up issues it’s not a problem. I think they hold it every Tuesday? It’s an online webinar that lasts 60 or 90 minutes.August 6, 2019 at 3:04 pm #50514
Let me add that if your agent hasn’t taken the class yet this should not hold you up in looking for houses. It will only matter once you put an offer in.August 6, 2019 at 7:28 pm #50523TTrumbleMember
If your VOE is not in place, and Member Services did not see it in your file, then the employer did not send it back, or at least did not send it back properly. If the return instructions were followed accurately, at the very least, Member Services would have been able to find it in the file.
The lack of a VOE will not prevent your qualification at an ATD event, but the VOE must be in place before you can submit a Purchase and Sale Agreement.
Contact your employer and ask them to re-send the VOE and make sure they follow the instructions on the form.
See you in Baltimore!
