    Hi,

I attended the virtual ATD event yesterday (5/29/2020) and completed counseling at around 4:00 PM Eastern Time. The counselor was great- he passed my file on to an underwriter and said that I should expect a call or e-mail from him by the end of the event. I never received any follow-up from the underwriter and am wondering if I should still expect to hear from somebody, or will I need to contact somebody?

I scrambled in the hours after the counseling session to upload Letters of Explanation for various things in my web-file, so I hope that wasn’t in vain!

Thanks in advance for any help,
    Martin

    Hello Martin,

I’ve taken a quick glance at your file and have reached out to the counselor to request he double check the file. I would have thought that you should have gotten an answer yesterday because the underwriters stay each evening to make sure all the day’s file are cleared. As such I suspect there was some sort of hiccup in the submission itself. I have asked the counselor to check for any problems in the submission to underwriting and make sure it has gone through.

Thanks Tim. Shortly after you intervened, I received a phone call informing me that I am qualified. Appreciate your support!

    Hello, sorry to piggyback, @ttrumble

Our ATD counselor on 5/30 was great, we were a little pressed for time and she accidentally re- submitted to underwriting requesting the same amount we were initially qualified for.

My husband and I noticed it, she said not to worry, underwriting would talk to us beforehand anyway. Underwriting was, understandably, backed up and did not so we were qualified for the same.

Shouldn’t this be a simple fix, the MC who reviewed our file and put in the incorrect info, go back in to correct it and send it off?

Instead, it’s being resent to our original MC who hasn’t touched our file in months. And we’ll end up in the back of the line.

Please, any help would be appreciated.

Same thing that happened to Martin happened to me during the ATD on 11/21/2020. We completed our session at around 3 pm EST. MC said our file was really organized and said the only thing missing and listed on the action plan was a VOE, which apparently – and MC mentioned -doesn’t get checked over the weekend. The action plan even says Status: “Homeownership Ready” and even “not needed for financial management counseling.” He said we would be sent to underwriting the same day, and we should hear back by the end of the weekend, but I didn’t hear back. Only to find out from Live Support and Member Services that our file wasn’t sent to underwriting, which is why we never received an alert about qualification :-(.

When our original intake, which was booked in August and supposed to occur on 11/12/2020, was cancelled on 11/2/2020, I made sure we still had the ATD appointment for 11/21/2020, because the newly rescheduled local appointment isn’t until 2/29/2021! Still trying to stay persistent, but assistance would be greatly appreciated🙏🏾 !!!
