    I am going through a re-qualification process, don’t even ask long story. My file came back a couple of times with conditions. I have been doing this process for over a year now despite the fact that I have most of my stuff line up except for my student loan situation. The file was submitted on last Thursday, does anyone knows how long it take for the underwriter to get back to me? My children and I are in a sucky living situation right now and praying we get to look for a house soon.

    At this point in time, give it a week. You should hear something in the next day or two.

    I have been absolutely flabbergasted by the huge, unbelievable volume of files we are handling at the moment. The last thing any of us expected when we ended the live Achieve the Dream events in March was that things would actually get busier, but that is exactly what has happened!

    I can only guess that the virtual ATD events have resulted in a higher “quality” of files coming through the system somehow, but we submitted more bank apps to Bank of America in July than any other month in our history!

    Don’t ask me why, but everything is busier right now, including here on the Forum! It hasn’t been this busy since the foreclosure crisis. Member Services’ phones are ringing off the hook. Our online Qualification Workshops are filled to capacity weeks in advance and our Saturday Facebook Live workshops are now averaging more than 700 people each. Plus our other online workshops each week are all busy.

    As such, underwriting is up to its collective ears in work as well. But they still seem to be doing an amazing job, again because it seems each file is less of a challenge, has need for fewer conditions, and so on.

    Long story short, hang in there for a couple more days, and keep us updated here on the Forum.

    Hey Tim,

    Is there an escalation protocol at any point? While we all are happy NACA exist, the ATD event tends to deprioritize the current members and current members are naturally feeling fooled because of it. To have a member at the CTC stage, 2/3 weeks past original closing, in a normal state of business this would be a urgent need to get the member closed and off the table. I am in dire need of assistance with this file that just took an entire week to be cleared, but for the wrong loan. We are now being projected into next week for a new response from the UW on the correct documents and then 2 more weeks to close. I’m doing my best to mediate but the member is essentially being told, oops our bad, we’ll get to it. I may be able to talk a mad man off a ledge, but to talk down a single mother about to be homeless if this goes on past next week with no real reason other than “We’re processing” is a tough sell. Please advise. Thanks as always 🙂
    *To note; I’ve inquired with MC, Office Manager and every email department I can pull up to no avail.



    My file was submitted a month ago for the 7th time and I got a new status Not Qualified – Conditions. My counselor tried several times to contact the underwriting by phone, email but no answer. The main issue is that we are not able to see the new conditions. The conditions that my counselor can see all of them are already addressed. For the last month I have been trying to reach my counselor but he doesn’t answer me. I emailed to nacaservice and no answer.

    Please, if you can help me to keep this process going we greatly appreciate your support.
