Hello! My fiancee and I are starting the Naca process. I am excited and scared at the same time. I dont know what to expect. How do you know if you are actually ready to start this process? I have been renting for almost 3 years now and I really want to own. How much does being late on your bills effect you becoming qualified. I was out of work for 3-4 months and that put me in a bind!

    Hello sohoward,

One of the key advantages of the NACA Purchase Program is that we work closely with you to determine first if you are ready to become a homeowner, and then how much you can legitimately afford when you are ready.

Everyone’s situation is different, but prefect credit is not a requirement. You will simply have to continue to through the process to find out if you are ready, what issues you may need to take care of and how soon you will be able to become a homeowner.

Expect some bumps in the road, and above all be both patient and persistent in your efforts. I wish you the best in your journey to home ownership!
