Hello,
I had my follow up appt due 3/5 and I was excited because I have completed all action steps. However, last week received an email that the counselor was changed and the next appointment isn’t until May. Since I have completed all action items, how can I move forward sooner to be qualified without having to wait until May?
If I would you I would look into going to one of the ATD events, even if there isn’t a local one it would likely be worth the travel expense. Two months is a long time to wait.
Your counselor probably is no longer with naca or no longer in an MC role. As a result all their appointments probably got dumped on the other MCs in the office which can’t just move their current schedules around. I would continue to call weekly to see if there any openings. People inevitably need to cancel from time to time creating unexpected openings.
The other thing you can do is just walk in. The policy is that they have to see you if you walk in. You will wait until one of the MCs has an opening which will probably be after their last appointment so you will be there a few hours and probably won’t bee seen until 8 or 9pm but it could be worth it.
You can do that even if you have a remote counselor?
You can try.
