Just saw something on our task list for the first time today. It is asking for bankruptcy papers & a LOX regarding bankruptcy. I filed for bankruptcy nine (9) years ago. I do have the discharge statement, however, because of the length of time, I do not have any other documents to send. I did send my MC a LOX & the discharge statement. Next year this won’t even show up on my credit because it will be 10 years. Why would they need something so old & irrelevent? Again, I did already provide the information that I have. But it’s all I have. I just don’t want something so old to hold up my process. Thanks!

Hello deachr519,

Honestly, I’m a bit puzzled myself about that. Good move sending the discharge doc and LOE just that same!

My gut feeling is that somebody didn’t notice how long ago the BK occurred. Anything discharged over two years ago should not be of consequence, as we’ve discussed elsewhere here in the Forum recently. I don’t think it’s going to be an issue.

Good to know! Thank you! According to my webfile I had an appt. scheduled for 10:30 a.m. this morning, however, my MC never called. How long does it take for the MC to remove stuff from the task list typically? I have never had anything on my task list until today & I faxed it immediately.

Also, I will have the balance of my MRF when we get paid on Friday. I’m hoping that we are moving forward soon!!

Hi deachr519,

From my experience, it is very important to be proactive. For example, if you MC did not call at 10:30am, by 10:45am you should be calling the office. My previous MC who was way overworked always miss calling me and I always need to call the office to remind him to call me soon after.
