    Hi,

    I currently am not married and live alone, so with my income I’d be considered a Priority Member for my area (Texas). What happens if I buy a home with NACA and then get married say a year later? With a spouse I’d no longer be considered a Priority Member, or does that matter since the house purchase is complete and already my name?

    Would I have to sell my home if I get married or have my mom move in with me for some reason after the purchase is complete?

    Hello aljenkins88,

    Once you have closed on your home, priority/non-priority status doesn’t matter. It is only a factor in the qualification and purchasing processes.

    Thank you! This made me think of one other question. After closing, if I did have any other occupants move in, does it matter if they have any other property ownership?

    For example, after closing if I married someone who owned property and they moved in. Or if my mom moved in but kept her property?

    Just want to cover all scenarios that could happen in the future.
