    Good Afternoon,
Does anyone know if NACA works with the NJ Home Seekers Program? They offer $10,000 in a loan that has no interest or payments as long a you are in the home for 5yrs. Also, if anyone knows of any grant programs in NJ that they’ve used recently that could help with buy down that would be great!

    Hello tallbeautie,

I don’t know about that specific program but I may be able to find out for you pretty easily.

In the meantime, anyone out there with experience with this program, please provide your input!

    Hello tallbeautie,

New Jersey Home Seekers is a program through the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency. Unfortunately, they work with a very select group of lenders and as of this moment, NACA is not on their list. FYI, we’re passing this along to the regional director to see if there’s anything we can do to become eligible through their program.

    Hello Tim,

Do you know how long it usually takes to hear whether NACA has become eligible or not?
Also, thank you for your attention to this. I really appreciate your help!

@ttrumble we are encountering a similar issue here in Alabama. We have a Mortgage Credit Certificate program. They work with many lenders but Bank of America is currently not one of those lenders. Can you pass on this program on to the regional director for my area to see if they can become eligible too? Here’s a link to Alabama Housing Finance Authority’s site: http://www.ahfa.com/homebuyers/how-do-i-apply/mcc-lenders/?
