    Hello jamaxwell74,

Trying to have a new MC assigned to your file will likely do far more harm than good. While I understand your frustration, all of our counselors carry a very heavy caseload, which can make communication difficult. Assigning the file to someone new will most likely only put your file at the bottom of an equally large stack as the one it’s already in.

Please send me your name and NACA ID number at the e-mail address below so I may review your file. I will reach out to your MC on your behalf.

“Need Help”, I know how you feel! I’m trying to find out if the person at NACA who was originally assigned to me is actually the one who’s working with the Bank or if I have someone else ! The Bank is MAKING SURE THEY KEEP IN TOUCH so that I pay the Mortgage each month. I’m trying to get the amount reduced, and each month I see the same message on my on-line web-site “Account in Underwriting”. The Bank is being very pro-active to the point that they’ve assigned “two” Account Managers to keep track of my Mortgage payments, however, they can’t discuss the Modification with me because I went through NACA and not directly thru them. Now I don’t know if I even have a NACA Advocate any longer. Who do you rely on, the Bank who says they could help, but can’t because of protocol, or NACA who says they are there to help, but can’t always do so because of the sheer volumn of need ? Either way, for those of us who need this assistance, the whole process can be overwhelming and at times disappointing ! My heart goes out to the Thousands of people who will stand in line for hours and spend days at the “American Dream” Events hoping to be one of the Lucky ones to give a “Testimonial” about how their Home was saved or their Mortgage reduced…

We have been dealing with this since March! It is hard to get our MC to look at our file. Then, everytime she does, she comes back with something else needed and I will submit it within 2 or 3 days and then a month later when she gets a chance to look at it again, same thing. What I don’t understand is it isn’t current information that she is asking for! For instance, once a month she has looked at a file and told us what we needed. This time, it was bank statements from July. If those were missing, why were we not told that in August or September. She sent me a list of stuff needed last time, I sent it all the NEXT day. When appt time came, she was emailing me back and forth and then realized that she didn’t have the information that I faxed in. I emailed her immediately back and told her I would email it directly to her. Had it to her within 5 minutes if not sooner. This was about 15 minutes in to our scheduled “appointment” She emailed me back and told me I would have to wait until our next appointment. I told her to please set it up as soon as possible as according to the list that she has given us, she should have everything! No email back. I have emailed her 5 more times asking her to please set up a time. I even tried to schedule an appointment on the website and it said confirmed. Not heard a thing. It is so frustrating!

I want ot know if one of the banks that NACA deals with to modify loans is PNC. Last time I went to one of the events they were not dealing with that bank. Thank you

    Hello esandoval,

PNC still refuses to sign an agreement with NACA and does not attend our events. However, we can still create and submit a proposal to PNC for you. You will just have to be more directly involved in the process afterward. Also, if the investor on your loan is Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, they do have representatives on site at our events who you can speak with.

To find out if your loan is owned by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, you can check at the following websites:

    For Fannie Mae –
    https://www.knowyouroptions.com/loanlookup

    For Freddie Mac –
    https://ww3.freddiemac.com/corporate/
