I am just about to start the bank app process and I am very worried about what is going to happen in the future. It seems like naca is completely closed for the entire week because of the event in DC. I just noticed that they have save the dream events every week through April. Does that mean that naca offices will be closed that entire time? This doesn’t look good. Can anyone shed some light on this? Tim?

Hello momofthree,

Tsk, tsk. Such a negative outlook! ;)

The annual American Dream Convention currently going on in DC is the only time of the year that the entire national staff is in one place. Furthermore, once the event itself starts after our training and advocacy efforts, some of the staff goes home rather than stay the entire time. In fact, all of the MC’s except for the DC and Baltimore staffs are going home tomorrow, as is a good chunk of the Counseling Center staff (including me).

No more getting worried about problems that don’t exist, okay? (I’m sure you have enough real ones to deal with!) :D

I didn’t mean it as negative. I thought maybe this happened for all of the events so naturally I was worried. I think it is great that everyone would be able to get together once a year. I can’t help being worried, it’s in my nature. :) Thank you for your help.

Of course I would be so lucky to have the convention at the tale end of my mortgage process. I’m so frustrated and afraid I will be homeless at the end of the month. Lots of broken promises and no one actually coming through this week. Praying that next week is a lot more productive and that I am able to settle on 2/25.
