Hello everyone. I am posting on behalf of my mother who was recently denied after working with NACA for a little over a year.
She turned in all documents, got preapproved, found her dream house and started closing — only to be denied a day before the second closing was set to happen. This is because of a ParentPlus loan she took out for my sibling. She was upfront with them about it when she started, to which they replied “we won’t worry about it.” Fast forward to today.. they won’t even answer the phone for her anymore if she calls. She finally got in touch with someone in the office and made an appointment for Wednesday afternoon, but late Tuesday night, they sent her the official denial letter.
This is the most absurd thing that I’ve ever been a part of and I’m starting to question NACA’s program. My mom even got in touch with a manager who assured her that this was “not about credit scores” and said that they would “still be willing to help”?
At this point, we are questioning whether or not to even continue with this program, since such our experience matched up with the enormous amount of bad reviews. One thing for sure, I will NOT recommend anyone else for this.
Thanks for nothing NACA.
