Hello, Please provide insight/ comments if you can.
Forgive me this is lengthy.
So, We went into contract on a house on 9/5/2018. We had already given earnest money and paid for inspections but when it was time to submit to credit access we were told we could not purchase that particular house b/c we were non priority members.
A week later, that was cleared up, we got the ok to proceed. We were submitted to credit access, our status kept going from requested to pending and back again (Due to forms that my MC did not include). Now it is at pending. We have addressed all conditions…which was done while my MC was away at the ATD events. She kept promising to resubmit. Now I cannot get any responses from her. Member services can’t tell me anything about my file. My loan estimate expires on September 26, 2018. Our contract has us closing on October 15, 2018. But if we have not even submitted our bank application, I don’t see that happening. Is it still possible? If the bank comes back with conditions that could push up back more weeks. We have already been delayed many times. I don’t want to lose our funds, really don’t want to lose this home. I’ve been a “polite pest” but that has gotten me absolutely nowhere.September 21, 2018 at 10:21 am #45222
@mizti1986 Are you able to go by the office? I would suggest doing that if you could. If your MC can’t see you someone else will. An October 15th closing maybe pushing it since you haven’t been credit access approved yet.September 21, 2018 at 10:40 am #45223
Try contacting the office manager or do what @butterfly123 suggested, stop by the office and even if you have to wait, your counselor or somebody else will see, that’s sometimes the best way to get your file moving. How were you able to get the green light to purchase the house in that area being a non-priority member?September 21, 2018 at 10:43 am #45224
Yes. was basically told she could not see me. That the delay due to the ATD events was out of their control because the CEO demanded they attend that event and put their current clients on hold.
Just spoke with member services, they said it’s nothing that can be done. Very frustrating experience. Smh when I was trying to become approved, my counselor told me that i was not priority because I was not under contract, now that I am under contract…I am still not priority.September 21, 2018 at 10:45 am #45225
@southflorida we were submitted before the changes went into effect on July 1, 2018. That’s what saved us.September 21, 2018 at 10:56 am #45226
@mizti1986 If you go to your NACA local office today without an appointment, you may have to wait but someone will see you, you can try thatSeptember 21, 2018 at 12:29 pm #45228
@mizti1986 I was sitting at credit access for about 3 weeks with my file doing the exact same thingSeptember 21, 2018 at 2:21 pm #45229
@determined1227 what was your outcome? did they say why it was just sitting? Was the bank app smoother?September 22, 2018 at 10:39 am #45237
@mizti1986 You do know if it says Credit Access-pending than the file has conditions and the conditions were never addressed. Once you MC submits the items from the conditions to underwrighter, the status will automatically change to Credit Access-requested again. I say this because it you file says pending after you address conditons with your MC, that means your MC has not addressed those conditions with the underwriters yet.
I would definetly clear your day and walk into the office. I had to drop in a few times. Also, I noticed the more you volunteer the more responsive the office usually is.September 23, 2018 at 7:55 am #45241
@mizti1986 I’m not sure if the bank app is smoother because I went from credit access to mortgage processing . I’m not sure if my file was supposed to go from credit access > bank app > to mortgage processing or not because I went straight from credit access to mortgage processing and I’ve been here for a few daysSeptember 23, 2018 at 8:14 am #45242
After Credit Access your status changes to Mortgage Process as soon as the bank app is submitted.
